The TRUTH can sometimes be a difficult thing to know. It can be an even more difficult thing to deliver. The lives of prophets in the old testament were not easy, they were busy delivering TRUTH. You don't have to be a prophet to feel the sting of rejection, loneliness and even the heart break of watching friends, family, co-workers, fellow students and others you may dearly love, make decisions which take them farther from the grace of God rather than closer to it.
Music can be such a powerful way to worship God, before Pastors preach it has been common place for congregations to worship God with their voices to prepare their hearts for the message.
In Revelation 5:13 it says this:
"Then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and on the sea, and all that is in them, singing: 'To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be praise and honor and glory and power, for ever and ever' The four living creatures said "Amen" and the elders fell down and worshiped."
Singing is such a great way to prepare your heart for the Lord's message. Sometimes the message is joyful, other times the message causes us to look deep into our own hearts, and minds and we may not like what we see. On this blog I will be sharing things that will be difficult to hear. For some it will make them very angry; yet, for others they will recognize the truth.
Since we are commanded to teach the fullness of God's word and not just PART of it you can't just share a "happy-clappy" gospel and ignore the part that speaks of judgment. Nor should we teach only judgment and not repentance. God provided a way for our penalties, which we are unable to pay, to be satisfied in full.
Because singing is so large a part of worship I wanted to share some music which my wife and I personally love. We hope you are blessed with it as well.As we do so let us remember NOT to be like the subject of the next verse from Matthew 15:8 where Jesus quotes the book of Isaiah "These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. They worship me in vain; their teachings are but rules taught by men."
Let us draw near Christ with our Lips, and our hearts.
